Hello, bold citizens and denizens of Seattle, and welcome to our exciting fifth HONK!ing year! Since HONK! Fest West is an entirely grassroots endeavor, it relies entirely on community support for its success. It is with that in mind that I proudly announce our volunteer signup page! You can find it here.
Many of you are regular volunteers, whether for this festival or for others like Hempfest and Moisture Festival – and we think that’s outstanding. We appreciate your at-large support and would love for you to be a part of this year’s HONK! Fest West, too. Even if you don’t volunteer regularly, or are not sure how you might be able to help, I urge you to take a look! There are many fabulous opportunities to help us bring three free days of music and mirth to the masses, and we assure you that you will have plenty of time and energy to enjoy the festivities.
As with previous HONK! festivals, in addition to receiving our sincere thanks for helping out with this community-sponsored nonprofit free festival, you’ll get a food, water, and some other promotional goodies.
So please, take a moment to signup here, even if you’re already on the mailing list. The 7 minutes you spend filling it out helps us determine what schedule and role assignments are the best match. Also, we’ll be having some special pre-production event days, so if you can help before the festival, let us know that too.
Shifts are generally 1 day, 2 hours. Of course, we appreciate people willing to do longer shifts, but we don’t ask much – we want you to enjoy the bands, too!
