It’s been a couple of weeks since the last day of HONK! Fest West IV, time we’ve spent resting, rehearsing, performing, exploring, and–most importantly–reliving the experience that was this year’s H!FW. We can’t thank you enough for such an amazing event; we may have done the planning, but we were reliant on every last one of you to bring the party, and you did so and then some.
We would be remiss if we did not send a special thanks to our amazing volunteers (especially Jeff Myers, Amber Jeanneret, Lindsay Love, and Judi MacRae, all of whom did tremendous work in creating a magical experience), our host neighborhoods and venues, our business supporters, all of our non-profit partners, our kickstarter donors, everyone who put a dollar in the hat, and of course every performer who played, sang, juggled, swung, danced, hooped, and any combination thereof throughout the weekend.
From the Georgetown streets to EMP’s jellyfished ceilings, Gasworks’ industrial sprawl to Hale’s hot Palladium, the sweet burn of HazardFactory to the serene finish of Om, we found ourselves giddy again and again at the music, the movement, the color, and the engagement. It was everything we hoped for, and we hope it offered more than a little something for you.
You may have noticed we have added new pages for Videos, Photos, and Press. If you have any documentation of this year’s (or previous year’s) HONK!, please add them on! Either comment right on the page, or send links to info @ honkfestwest.com and we’ll post them up.
And, finally, we’d love to hear your feedback about how this year’s festival went, and what you’d like to see next year at our 5TH ANNUAL HONK! FEST WEST! (Yes, we are already in the beginning stages of planning.)
Mostly, though, what we want to say is this: Thank you, Seattle. You are amazing.
