You may remember us mentioning that Titianium Sporkestra had started a fundraising campaign to get them to Austin for HonkTx? Congrats are due, because they made their goal and then some! To celebrate, they threw a hot and kicking shindig at the Underground Events Center, capped off by an outside performance with Black Rock City Hardware.
This is just an opening salvo, Seattle. We’re going to do wondrous things to your morale.
As you might imagine, putting on a festival in your free time is hard work. Amazingly rewarding, but hard. We appreciate every bit of help we get each year because it is our volunteers–you!–who actually make this thing possible. And every year we grow, we get a little better, and we touch a little more of our great City in a joyous and positive way. We can’t say it enough: Thank you.
And it’s that time again where we begin asking our stellar volunteers to step up and take part. Right now we are looking for individuals who want to take on a little more responsibility, who want to own and run a piece of the Festival, and who like coming to Organizational Committee Meetings (or can send quick summary reports on a weekly basis). This is bigger, behind-the-scenes stuff, and I bet you’d be awesome at it. Get in touch if you think so too.
Speaking of, our next Committee Meeting is Tuesday, Feb. 22. If you are interested in attending, please get in touch for details.
We’re very excited about bringing HONK! back to Seattle city streets for another year. Come help us make it a reality.
HONK! Fest West returns! The 4th Annual Fest (or H!FWIV for short) will take over Seattle City streets Friday, May 13th, Saturday, May 14th, and Sunday, May 15th. We are in the process of finalizing contracts, permits, and bands, so you will have to allow us this tease: more information to come!
HONK! Fest West! The best free weekend of music in Seattle!
Titanium Sporkestra is going to Texas! And they need your help to get them there. Already, 48 backers have stepped up to pledge over half of their goal. But only 12 days remain and they’ve got a long way to go. Will you help send a solid slice of Seattle to Austin?
Watch the video and think it over. Once you’re ready to say yes, click here. All the money pledged supports the considerable travel cost of moving a band with membership in the double-digits across the country. Plus, we’ll show those Southerners how we do it in the PacNW.
