LOVE HONK! Fest West! I went there once, and now I have to go back every year!
the best time I ever had in my life was playing Honk! Fest West
I AM SO BUMMED I MISSED HONKFest this year! Why did this happened? There was no advanced listing of HONKFest in the Seattle Times this year. No listing in the Summer Music Guide, no listing in the Summer Event Guide and no listing anywhere else that I could see. In years past the Times did have coverage and that is how I knew about it. Don’t know who is to blame for this years short fall, but sure hope that HONKFest gets in the Seattle Times next year!
Sweet!! I just read about this event in the Stranger today. My girlfriend LOVES marching bands (she marched for Jacksonville State back in 2000, badass trumpet player!). And I love street food! We’ll probably catch the show tonight in Georgetown. I hope the rain lets up. Cheers to all you musicians!! Thanks for a free show~
I like the way you think, Bridget! Any calendar help is most appreciated. Posters will be appearing in Ballard soon!
Time to start seriously getting the word out…I will get this event on a few calendars and start getting it on Facebook….through my tiny part of the world (Ballard). I am So looking forward to dance’n in the streets and anywhere else your bringing such great life. Hmmmmm, perhaps we can have carpools to events and honk horns along the way, pied piper style, : )

Website says “COME GET HORNY FOR HONK! benefit on April 20th at the Columbia City Theater!” as being on Saturday night? Saturday night is April 21st? And is there any way to find out more about this, without having a facebook account?
We have one! Check out our contact, about or homepage!
That’s great, Bridget! We love your enthusiasm, and we’re looking forward to HONK!ing with you. Make sure to spread the word far and wide! We need lots of support this year – we’re bringing a record HONK! Fest West record 26 bands to the streets and parks of Seattle!
Nothing official, Benson. But we’re spreading the word far and wide, and this event is open & free to all. We hope to see HONK!ers from all walks of life joining us
We hope you make it too, Tim! It’s just not the same without your bari sax and smile!
Let us know if we can help at all.

Do you have artists doing the posters this year? If so, who are they? : )
Hope I make it, I’m having some passport problems;(
Laurie, once again we’ll be HONKing between Georgetown & GasWorks Park, so any of Seattle’s inner core neighborhoods are in proximity: SoDo, Georgetown, Beacon Hill, Central Area, Capitol Hill, U District, Wallingford, Fremont, Queen Anne, Belltown, downtown…
Lovely internet work! Please nail down the schedule soon!
Are you doing anything with the 99%ers or Occupy? they love a party : )
Do you have suggestions for best neighborhoods to stay in for proximity to where Honk will be happening June 1, 2, 3 in Seattle?
Thanks for posting 2012 dates so early….I missed 201 so will get this on my calendar NOW…..just 8 months early….This is my favorite event in Seattle, I feel so happy listening to the music and seeing the performer that I get butterflies in my stomach : )
make up a mailing list so people don’t miss it next year and so we can send your reminder email to all our friends!
What happened to the years when Honk Fest went late into the night in the streets of Georgetown? When it felt more like Carnival or New Orleans? This year it felt so squashed, squelched and subdued…
Best wishes for what I know will be an excellent event!
So glad this keeps happening. See you lovelies real soon!
